Our First Senior Carer!
March saw Blakewater Homecare recruit its first Snr Carer!
A huge well done to Rebecca Ingram.
Many of our Support Workers and our Service Users have told us what a
great asset she is to the team! We heard how Rebecca is always helping
and guiding newer members of staff, and takes the time to listen to her
service users to ensure she helps them achieve their outcomes, in a person
centred way.
Rebecca has not only been given the role of Snr Carer she is also our first ‘Champion’ too! Rebecca is our LGBTQ+ Champion and will undertaking additional training to help her fulfil this role.
We have always said at Blakewater Homecare we want to recognise our own employees abilities and build upon them, although she’s only been in the role a few weeks, the other Carers are already chuffed to have additional Support out in the field. We’re so lucky to have her with us!

One of very first Service Users was a talented Artist. Sadly he passed away last month, we were honoured to receive a painting from him, and this beautiful card from his family.
What an honour it was to care for such a wonderful Man.
Training Aids!
We want the training that we deliver to be as realistic as possible, and try to recreate real situations. We work hard on sourcing every product that a support worker may use.
Our First Aid Dummy, suite of incontinence aids, and our Office Bedroom; complete with hoist, slide sheets, and a commode helps to bring all the theory to life!
Classroom Training!
We use a mix of Training at Blakewater Homecare from e learning, to webinars, to demonstrations. Our favourite by far is our Induction Training! Support Workers are taught essential courses for their roles by our very own trainer Denny Dodds in a real classroom setting. Above are our latest recruits :)
We are now a disability confident employer!
Contracts!
We’ve dotted the i’s and crossed the t’s! Blakewater Homecare Services Ltd are now providers to the NHS (CCG) and LCC! Exciting Times Ahead!
Registered with the CQC!
On the 21st of July 2022 we got registered!! We were so proud to have all our hard work recognised and rewarded.
Denny Dodds is our Registered Care Manager and our Nominated Individual, and he had 2 interviews to attend… not only did he pass them both, but he smashed them both! Each should’ve been 2-3 hours long and he did them both in 55 minutes, thanks to his wealth of knowledge and experience.
We are so excited to see what the future has in store for Blakewater Homecare Services Ltd.
